My 2.5 year old dd is ready pull-ups or just knickers?

I have decided now us the time to toilet train my dd as she has very good bladder control and seems ready. The thing is am not sure which way to do it. People are saying pull-ups give them mixed messages and just go for knickers and accidents then plenty of clothes to change. What do you find was successful for your dcs? Thanks

Knickers. I think it helped my dd to have a few accidents in knickers as she then realised she needed to go to the loo or get wet!

If she's really ready, go straight for pants and you should have very few accidents. If you do have a lot of accidents, then she isn't ready and go back to nappies for a month or two.

Oops. I mean just knickers if she is ready.

Agree knickers. Buy a load of cheap ones so you can bin them every time she poos in them.

My DD is just 2 and she came out of nappies about 3 or 4 weeks ago. We went straight to pants and have only had one wet knickers when me and my arrived at our holiday home and we were too busy unpacking the car and she was in the house but didn't know where the potty/toilet was. No point in pull ups I don't think if they are really ready you shouldn't get many accidents.

Knickers it is then Smile. Thankyou for your wise advice it makes sense. I was just starting to loose my confidence a bit in making decisions.
