Poo poo and more poo

I'm at my wits end and need some advice please.
10 days ago I started to potty train my 2.5 DS. He was showing some of the signs and copying his big bro using the toilet. He's been getting a bit better every day and is occasionally asking for the toilet to wee. He will ask to go to poo but never does anything or will only do a rabbit dropping! He's been dry at night a few times and asked for a wee when he's woken. But trying to get him to poo is hell on earth. I have changed his pants 6 times today with poo accidents! When we've seen the signs he needs a poo we've sat him on the loo, he's either not gone or done a rabbit dropping. Then guaranteed 5 mins later when I have my back turned he soiled his pants. This is becoming sole destroying.
I feel we need to persevere a little longer and putting him back into nappies after 10 days of not being in them will be confusing for him. However he starts pre school next week and I'd be mortified if he was still doing this. Just want someone to tell me what to do! Any help or advice would be greatly welcome please.

No help or advice, but going thought the same thing here! DS 2.9 has cracked the wees brilliantly and is even dry at night (but still in a nappy) but the poos? Dear God, the poos....must have sat him on the loo 30 times today in response to "I dunna pooooo" and nothing, put him in a nappy for the school run (there were skids starting!!) then back into pants at home, then pooed in his nappy as I put him into cot! I don't normally put him in a nappy for school run, but I could tell something was brewing! He just says poos gone when I put him on the loo Confused

Keep thinking back to my twins and how one of them pooed in her pants every day for 5 weeks, then suddenly one day she got it. Read her Vesuvius Poovius so might have to get hold of that book again.

So, no help, but you're not alone! WineWine
