...or...'I'm bloody bored and want someone to say its ok to escape the house!'.

DS has been PT for five days. Day 1: shocking, Days 2-5 steadily improving, and we had six potty wees, four accidents and two poos in pants yesterday. At nursery he is even better. To be honest, if we were housebound all day, the accidents (at least wee ones) would be down to zero, but I'm boooored!

How soon before boys they start to be able to hold it in when immersed in unfamiliar surroundings? Should I take the potty out or jump straight to using the loo with him? How can I tackle the poo issue (so far DS refuses to poo on the potty or loo and we don't want to make a massive deal of it). A friend said she hosed her DC down with cold-ish water when she pooed in pants and she never did it again but I'm worried that would lead to MORE fear with DS, not less.

I got ds to poo in the potty by sitting on it and pretending to poo, then depositing chocolate brownies in it to show him the outcome! It worked.

We went out a week after starting pt, with lots of spare clothes. But ds was 2.5, so nailed it pretty quickly.
