Getting out and about

DS (2y8m) has stopped wearing nappies at home except at night.

He is pretty good at using a potty (both wee and poo), and will also use a trainer seat on the loo. He has the odd accident but is doing really well. So far, so good.

We are going to stay in for the next few days. What do we do about going out? Is it best to use training pants, pull-up nappies, normal underpants? Do I need a portable potty or not?

Complicated slightly by having DD (4m) - getting out at all can be tricky, let alone if we have to keep rushing to find a loo...

I stayed in until he got the hang of weeing standing up, the. It was much easier to do one in a bush if caught short. But I found the best thing was just to stick to places close to a toilet and prompt when ever near one. And take lots of clothes!

Thanks Chopsypie. I have been staying at home or just going to my parents' up the road. They have a massive communal garden with a playground (so lucky), and less worried about accidents as can just take him back in the house.
