Ive been potty training DD (2.8) for a couple of weeks and think I have messed it up. She seems to be able to hold her wee in fine and doesn't have accidents as long as I stick her on the potty/toilet every couple of hours. If we are out and about she might start to wee then tell me. And we rush to the toilet for her to finish off- all fine. However of I leave her to her own devices at home, she will wet herself if I don't make her try to go. We have had absolutely no success with poo's they are 100% in pants, which I understand is fairly normal.

I am a bit confused as how to proceed now
I could: give up totally which seems a bit of a waste
Or
Carry in as I am sticking her on every couple of hours, meaning dry pants but could this be counter productive in the long run?
Or just leave her to figure it out for herself, which feels like a regression as we are back to lots of wet accidents.

WWYD?

I'd carry on sticking her on the potty or loo for a while. If you try to do it at set times she should get used to going at that time.

When she poos, does she show any signs? Some chikdren stop playing and walk to a quiet spot for instance.

Have you read Succesful Potty Training? Its not prescriptive but helps you and dd find your own way Smile
