End of day 3 of potty training ds (2.8). We started by offering stickers as encouragement if he tried sitting on potty, except now he keeps sitting on there every couple of minutes pretending to wee in order to get another sticker. So far we have had zero hits in the potty & lots of accidents in his pants. He has been coming to me as he starts to wee but i've not managed to get him there on time yet.

Not sure if i should change the goalposts & only offer sticker if he actually wee's? Just dont want to discourage him from sitting on it altogether! Wwyd?

I would only give a sticker if he actually wees - also, although it doesn't look at that nice, is there a possibility of letting him be trouser*pant-less for a day or two and have a potty in the same room at all times, just so he can get the idea/boost his confidence (and yours!). I found with my DD1 that it was too confusing having pants on for the first couple of days/difficult to get them off in time. Are you having more luck now?
