I know it's mad to be excited about a potty but DS never wanted to sit on his but I found this today:
www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Search/searchTerms/KETER+TOILET.htm
He has gone straight from needing nappies to wanting to pee on the loo as often as he possibly can!! (He's 20 months). I can't believe how enthusiastic he is and needs no encouragement.
Our DD had a big solid potty but this really seems 100x better . So I hope the positive effects last as it's a breakthrough for us and our 6 year old queues up to use it too

Thanks! We need something to make the loo more exciting than whatever he is playing with, def going to try this!

Briliant! Might be just the trick to encourage my 2yo in toilet training. He's resisting at the moment and everyone seems to have something to say about how I'm handling it wrong!

I hope you have some success. Annoyingly after DS' initial enthusiasm he's still being peeing everywhere but on his new seat - though he still enjoys climbing up and sitting on it whenever sees it. I think we're going to need nappies for a while longer!
