Should he bin in nappies at nursery?

DS has just turned two. He's shown all the signs of being ready to start potty training and will either take himself to potty if he has no bottoms on or will tell us if he needs to go potty if he's fully dressed. He has accidents but I figure that's all part of the learning curve.
Anyway, at nursery when they put him on the toilet he cries apparently. He'll do his wee and will be fine when he gets off again.
DH has started to take him to the loo at nursery in drop off and I do it in pick up and he's fine.
Should we persevere at nursery or put him back in nappies? He's probably only been in pants at nursery for about four days now.
Sorry for the epic and thanks

Is it worth taking his potty with him to nursery? That's what we're doing for DD (mainly as well as she's too petite to get on a toilet even with a step!) weeing is going really well, but she's got no idea about poo! Hmm
