Argh argh argh Sad

DC2 started refusing to wear a nappy a while back (same pattern as DC1) so out came the potty and all was going great with wees. Poos were being done in pull ups still. This went on for weeks so went to knickers in an attempt to encourage using hte potty or toilet. Instead started pooing in the bath each night and then having a paddy because she'd pooed in the bath! Finally did a poo in the potty and had a complete melt down because she thought it was a snake. So now won't poo at all. Will only wear knickers, will not have a bath or a shower anymore, won't go to bed and spends all day saying I need the loo and then refusing to go. I can't take much more of this constant upset and constant up and down but more importantly what can I do to get her to poo?? Tried rewards but nothing is working Confused Am going to dig out the number and try asking the health visitor for advice but am just at a loss really what to do next

Sorry, no help but I think you should repost in Chat. That's what I'm about to do - there's just no traffic here.Sad

Thanks Drink. Well, HV didn't have anything I'd not already tried but we did have a break through poo on the toilet today without the crying etc and has been much happier so I'm hopeful maybe this is the start of good things to come. Let's see what tomorrow holds! And once she's happy with that then hopefully she won't be scared to have a bath anymore! I've not been able to find your post, if it's anything I might be able to help with?

Ha. I haven't got round to posting it Blush. I will today.

Glad you had a poo in the the toilet (well, not you), I had one today on the carpet. although we've just literally started. I have absolutely no idea how to go about it now it's cold. DD seems to be ready for training but I wish she were in the summer. I would've then just let her run around nappyless but now by the time she lets me know, then we pill everything down it's too late.

Hope the bathing will be a success too. Never had problems with that do can't advise.

Gah, I got over excited on Monday. It was just so nice to have a happy toddler again ... but it lasted just the day. She didn't want to have a bath come the evening and hasn't pooed since Sad

Hope things are looking up for you. I've just been keeping DD in knickers and a wintery dress so makes for easy access. Otherwise she only wants to wear a top. Have also had the heating on a quick burst during the day to take the chill off, though now hte boiler is playing up to boot, so have had the gas man out the last few days to try to fix it [brrrr]
