Dd2 is 2.5. Not been interested at all in potty training. "I not doing no wees in no potty, accompanied by head wiggle!).

Today has completely refused to put her nappy on and has hers sisters knickers on. I can handle a few days/couple of weeks of wet knickers but her poos are really loose. Can not cope with those everywhere. She refusing pull ups too.

So what to do. Grin and bear it and hope she gets it quicker or something else??

Good luck!

Not all children take weeks/months/years to potty train. Dd cracked it in about 4 days. She has had a total of 6 wee accidents and 2 poo accidents in all that time (2.4 when came out of nappies).

DS, at the same age, had zero poo accidents and about 11 billion wee accidents. He had his last wee accident about 7 weeks ago, and he is almost 6.

Children are all unique, and there is no rule that hey all have to be monsters to potty train.

Chocolate buttons were invented for potty training. Aero bubbles work just as well (and I like them too).

Keep us posted.

Hi it's not always a nightmare never cared about being wet or messy sink was dreading potty training but he pretty much trained himself in 3 days at 2.5 I literally didn't have to do anything and he had maybe 4 accidents in total. From talking to friends I think the trick is to find what works for your child as their all so different. Chocolate buttons? A star chart to save for a big treat? If she likes her sister pretty pants maybe choose some of her own make a really big deal of it? She may surprise you and hopefully get it quickly. Good luck Smile

Thanks for the reassurance. So do you just take nappies off and go from there? Dd1 was so keen I sin't think I did anything!
