We are on potty training take four with DD who is now 3.2 Blush

First three attempts were abandoned after about two weeks each time after it became clear she didn't care about weeing herself and didn't mind being wet, or even notice, if she was absorbed in something else (which was most of the time).

But this time, it seems to be different. We are also bribing her with Haribo and stickers, which I had previously resisted, preferring to appeal to her good nature and desire to be a Big Girl (I know, I know)

This time we have told her, one for a wee, two for a poo, when you can do ALL your wees and poos on the potty or toilet, you will be big enough for school (lots of her pre-school friends started school this week, she doesn't go until next Sept).

Today, although she had a couple of accidents at pre-school, she had none at home. Five wees and two poos on the potty. One time she called "mummy, quick, I am starting to do something, get the potty" and when I was upstairs putting her little brother to bed, I came down to find her sitting on an absolute steamer of a poo/wee combination, totally naked, playing pop the frog on my iPad. Then she told me Mr Poo goes to Pooland and helped me tip it in the toilet (thank goodness she didn't kick THAT one over...). We haven't used Pooland but I guess pre-school have.

Today was day two of our latest attempt. It seems so promising this time. Do you think we've turned a corner now? Please say yes!

DS is coming up on his second birthday and I would really like to crack it with DD before I have to start with DS!

Yes I think so. DD is now recognising her need, before she does anything, and is doing it in the right place. I expect she is ready, whereas before she didn't really 'get' what she was supposed to do. Great!
