Have booked the week off from all usual activities, hoping to crack it this week. Ds is 2.6 and well ready just lazy. I'm 26 weeks pregnant with dc3 and not ready at all Grin

Anyone else joining me?

how did yesterday end up fish? we had a totally dry day! plus a poo on the toilet when he realised this is a new way to put off going to bed Hmm

so far today we've seen 2 pees on the potty, so good start :)

We did great all day but had a wee accident just before bedtime. He knows what to do now and can do it but will only go when absolutely bursting! He stands there crossing his legs etc before eventually giving in and sitting on potty Confused

Have you ventured out yet? Also, need to start thinking about transition to toilet etc, when do you tell them to try weeing standing up?

took DS to playgroup today, and all went well - he used the loo there, then peed on my friend's foot when she held him over the bushes to pee on the way home (have got her a bottle of wine to apologise :o)

and this afternoon, despite several monstrous tantrums due to being overtired, he told me when he needed the potty, disrobed, and used it - so doing really well!

how's it been for everyone else?

We ventured out today too, to a friends house. The problem I'm having is he will dance around holding his willie or bum for about an hour desperate to go but refusing to use the potty, then he'll randomly say 'Ok' sit on and go Confused

But he will wait till the absolute last second. Also each poo comes in about 5 instalments Hmm

We started today after church (so from about lunchtime)... a tiny poo in the potty then three wees on the (mercifully tiled) kitchen floor.

Is no wees in the potty normal on day one? DS is 2.65 (let's be accurate!). The trouble I find is that he resists the potty when we ask him if he wants to sit on it, and really refuses (ie. tantrums) if we try to put him on it. We are trying to sound breezy about it but are possibly edging into the 'neurotic' zone and putting him off! The advice is ask/put on potty every 15 mins on the first two days, but I think that would scare him off completely.

We give buttons as little treats already... so trying to say now 'you get a button when you wee or poo on the potty' feels a bit punitive. Maybe we need to do the same as you Kveta!

Would be grateful for feedback anyway - many thanks.
