What night-time disposable do you use?

DS is doing well at the potty training but it's far too soon to hope for dry nights too.

He doesn't want to wear a nappy at night "I'm a big boy now not a baby" so we got some sainsburys-own-brand pull-ups.

Pretty much every morning since we bought the packet the pullups have leaked and the bed is wet. This evening, about 10 mins after turning off the light, DS calls out "I made a wee" and his PJ trousers are soaking and a massive puddle in the bed.

I checked and it wasn't a willy-pulled-outside-the-pants issue (we've had those before but it wasn't poking out) - and nor was the nappy full, the wee just shot out through the leg-holes without being absorbed.

So - is this just poor quality pullups? or have I perhaps got the wrong size (though he is within the stated range)? or are pullups only capable of coping with "little accidents" not fullsize wees? Anybody else had this and solved it?

Hi, we found that this happened too, even if DS went to the toilet after his bath. We were advised that he would grow out of it and learn to hold in some wee until the morning! I bought a really soft "non crackly" Tencel waterproof sheet by Hippychick that protected the mattress and changed sheets a lot. After about 6 months it improved - once a week, not every day.

For brands, we used some Pampers pull ups but they leaked through being full. Nature Babycare size 6 were the best for us - DS age 3, quite tall. Now at nearly 4 he wears DryNites nappies. Generally excellent - did leak last night for the first time in ages.

My ds has just turned 4 and we use Tesco pullups in size 6. They're the biggest we could find, though Aldi size 5 seem comperable. Never had problems with either brand. Tesco ones had a third off when we stocked up at the beginning of the week, were £2 something each for a pack of twentyish, much cheaper than Pampers.

DS been using potty for 2 weeks now, still using nappies at nightime, and using up whats left of his Pampers...not bothering with pullups, dont find them as absorbent

Huggies drynites are usually ok. Pampers frequently leaked.
