Help!

He will not entertain the idea of wearing pants.
He gets distressed if I leave him bare bummed.

He will sit on the toilet (with his nappy on!) on the toilet seat.

He knows wee wee goes in the potty.

But he will not.

I have left training him and tried again today.

He is not having any of it.

I have 2 older children and I don't remember them being this attached to their nappies.

Both the older 2 were over 3 by the time they trained. But this child simply will not!

Will he still be in nappies when he starts school in sept 2013?!

I'm in the same situation with my dd who is the same age.

The annoying thing is that she now fiddles with her nappies and twists them up so they leak anyway! Physically I am sure she could do it but emotionally she doesn't seem ready. It is a pain but the HV told me it's best to wait til they say they want to do it.

I am scared that if I wait till he wants to do it, he will be wearing nappies in University! Wink

Leave it some more.
It is very unlikely that he will still be in nappies by Sept 2013. putting pressure on him will only delay things though.
Could you try telling him he can keep his nappy on, but you'll give him a reward if he learns to only make poo into his nappy if he's sitting on the toilet (with nappy on) at the time?
Then once he's learned that, you could cut a hole in the nappy so it goes through into the toilet?
He is probably just not emotionally ready though, and you'll do you both a favour by waiting.

Yeah, I am leaving it. Again!
