Left it quite late with DS, he's 3.5 years, so totally understands the concept just a bit lazy about giving up nappies. Therefore decided cold turkey the best option and day 1 & 2 was brilliant - 98% success rate of him telling me he needed to go every time, didn't even have to keep asking him. Day 3 & 4 complete opposite, it's like the novelty has worn off, the praise and sticker chart just a bit boring now and even the chocolate button from the sweetie jar forgotten. Quite frustrating because he clearly grasps the idea and can do it but lacks the motivation and I'm finding it difficult to be patient (but obviously haven't told him off or anything) - if he'd been slow to start off I would have accepted accidents days later but I know he gets it. Any ideas please??
