DD will only poo in nappy. How did you get past this point?

DD (3 next week) is great with wees day and night, but will only poo in her nappy and gets VERY upset when I suggest she tries sitting on the toilet. She has been constipated on and off for about 6 months (since before we started training) and we put her on movicol for a few weeks when it gets bad. She often complains of a tummy ache and occasionally has had blood in her poo so must have had anal fissures, poor thing. She tries to withhold until she is jumping from foot to foot and really can't keep it in but even then will only go in nappy. The ERIC website suggests putting nappy on in bathroom, putting poo straight down loo and cleaning her standing up rather than lying down, which she's fine about as long as she can play with bath toys on the edge of the bath but point blank refuses to try sitting on the toilet wearing a nappy (the next step the website suggests). Has anyone been through this and if so how did you get past this stage? Many thanks in advance for any advice :)

I pretended to poo in the potty - and left a chocolate brownie as a deposit.

That kind of worked, but it was only when ds made the connection between his stomach ache going and the poo in the potty that it all clicked. We only put a nappy on at night, so he had to poo somewhere else.

I have this same problem, dd has been trained for about 5 months but still wont poo in the potty or toilet. She does it as soon as she wakes up in the morning in her nappy then comes to wake us up the sneaky thing!! I have no idea what to do about this, we've tried treats/bribery/leaving it and nothing has changed. So I hope you find the answer and when you do can you tell me!
