6.5 hours and no wees?!

Dd is 2.4 almost 2.5 and has decided she would like to wear her knickers and use the potty. Been wearing her knickers since about 10 am. Took herself to potty and did poo this morning all fine she was very happy with that and we thought great, good start. However almost six and a half hours later she hasn't done a wee at all either in potty or as an accident! We have asked her throughout the day if she needs to go - she has sometimes sat on potty but nothing happens. Can't get her to drink much today either despite best efforts! Is this normal? Any ideas? Just wait it out and try not to pressure her?

i would say yes it can be normal! my ds4 was like this, the first few days of potty training him he would go in the morning and then not go till the evening! he has a bladder of steel!

do encourage her to drink tho as that is important.

7 hours later! Accident though sadly...

Mine is the same, can easily go on for several hours without peeing. Unless has had lots of juice and will then leak like a tap. Sounds silly but make a note of those times she tends to go so you know not to 'pester' her. For example, mine goes a few times in the morning and then nothing from before lunch till dinner. So in the morning I remind more often/take to toilet more often, in the afternoon just suggest occasionally if she hasn't gone herself.
