Ready to potty train? Naked and refusing to wear nappy

PFB DS has suddenly decided he likes being naked and has worked out how to take his trousers and his nappy off. So now he's running around the house refusing to put nappy/clothes on (i.e. taking them off when I put them back on), and we haven't started potty training yet...

He's nearly 22 months, knows "poo" "wee" "fart" and "willy" -- should I start potty training yet? (As far as I know he doesn't yet know how to pull his own pants back up again, but he can certainly take them off)

Get a potty and see what happens?

Ds went through a naked phase, but even though we had a potty for ages and ages, didn't show any interest in it until I pretended to do a wee on it about 3 weeks ago! HEs 2.6 and nailed it. I don't think my ds would've been ready at 22 months, but he's a stubborn little bugger.

Pulling pants up is still a laborious process though - especially when his bum 'eats' his pants!

Son did this today, just insisted on running around naked. I asked him if he wanted to use the potty (we've had one about for ages so he knows what it is). He wouldn't go at first, but then did go (several tiny wees!) Had a couple of accidents but seems more than willing to sit on the potty. We've bought some pull up nappies but not really sure what else to do. Son is 27 months.
