Started potty training today but...

DS is 2 and 10 months.
I believe he is ready, he knows when he is going to the toilet and has been doing well so far today with 4 wees or poos on the potty.
He normally does one poo a day and he did that in his nappy before we started.
However his poos today are really runny and he has had two small accidents, the larger one seemed very gunky, almost like phlegm texture as well as the poo. Sorry if TMI.
I don't know whether to put him back in nappies if he has an upset stomach, but he is doing really well.
Any advice?

Persevere! If he is doing well I would keep going. It may confuse him to in back into a nappy now, if he does develop a full on uncontrollable runny bum rethink then, for now I would say stick at it.
