Hi, if anyone has any ideas please tell me - I really need some help/opinions.

I have started with DS2 (2.10), it's day 3. He will sit on the potty but seems to actively not want to wee on there. I never had any problem with DS1 because he did the odd wee on the potty by chance so I had something to praise and it just went along from that, accidents but also successes.

DS2 will sit for ages, earlier he sat for thirty minutes. Then said 'I can't' and pulled his pants up and peed in them straightaway.

This has been repeated three times already today - he did need a pee but didn't go on the potty then in pants straight after. Then a big palaver about new pants etc.

Does anyone have experience of this? Should I give up or persevere? I wonder if he just wants to go in a nappy/pants, he has never been one for wandering with his clothes off.
