DS refusing to wear night time nappy. Plan B?

My DS is 2.4. He's cracked it during the day. Last night he refused to put his night time nappy on.

I put him on the toilet at 10.30pm (and he weed). Popped him back into bed but was wet this morning.

This evening he WOULD NOT have a nappy/pull up on. It was horrid - scratching my face and eventually pulled the pull-up off.

He did a wee before bed... Now what?

'Lifting' worked really well with DD (although she was slightly older). I could just persevere with lifting and then facing the consequences I suppose.

DH finishes work at about 2am. Could he do another visit then????

Can you get to him just before he wakes up? Usually they aren't actually wet when they are asleep, it is when they wake up, be it in the middle of the night, or first thing in the morning.

Is he going to nursery soon? When I was trying to get my son to wear nighttime pants he was just starting school so I said it was what some big boys wore when they started school and he seemed happy enough with that explanation, maybe you could say he gets to wear no nappies during the day but special pull up pants at night since he'll be a big nursery boy soon?

Well I just lifted him out of bed but he was really mad about it. He was dry, but didn't want to wee on the toilet.

I wrestled a nappy on him so he's done for tonight.

I can't bear the fight though.

I used to give him something interesting to play with whilst I changed his nappy but it but it doesn't work anymore and he'll just take it straight back off. The only reason I just succeeded tonight was because he was half asleep. He even told me to SHUT DOOR on my way out Shock

Sock puppet- he goes to CM 2 days a week. No changes imminent.
