Potty training on holiday

DS1 is 2.6 and I've been putting it off Blush because I have newborn DS2 and it just seems like a HUUGE hassle!

He's ready, I think - he's very enthusiastic about doing a-poo-an-a-wee on the potty before bed, and a few times has told me about an imminent poo which we have managed to catch in the potty. No word on the wees yet but he's had no nappy-off time.

We're off on holiday in a few weeks and I thought it might be a good time to let him run around naked and see what happens, BUT it occurred to me that it might not translate well to being at home, iyswim? i.e. potty/loo in a different place etc? It's our own villa so not too worried about the mess Grin

Plus the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing - do you just put pants on them, say there's the potty and ask them if they need a wee every 5 seconds? Grin

In the first week the potty tends to follow them around anyway! I would be tempted to try, except it depends on the journey home. If possible it is best to not use nappies/pull ups, but it depends how reliable he is at that stage. He needs to be flexible enough to go out and go anywhere so I don't think it would matter too much after a week.
