Last week, one day after his 3rd birthday my DS said 'I don't need nappies any more!' and from that point onwards all potty training nightmares we'd experienced for the past 8 months just vanished. It was like magic. I gave him a nappy at night which he accepted but the following night he refused this too. I told him that he may wet the bed in the night but he said he wouldn't. And he hasn't. Literally, not one accident in almost 10 days.

We've been potty training him for about 8 months, with very slow progress, and even a couple of weeks ago - we had a really bad few days with puddles all over the house and I remember wondering if I'll ever get this right. And it just happened all of a sudden.
It has made me ridiculously happy and just wanted to share, and maybe offer encouragement to people who are having just
another bad week!

Well done to both of you, it is amazing how proud you feel of them. So good to have it all sorted. We've had our our second night with no nappies, all well, and only one tiny wee yesterday which he managed to stop. Looking forward to a nappy free future!!

Hugely proud indeed. Last week for the first time I left nappies out of my weekly online shop and felt all smug about saving £6! Grin
Well done to you too 3duracellbunnies! The only question is what to do with the leftover nappies!

I know, don't know whether to keep a few in case of tummy bug/ goes pear shaped when school run starts up again, we're a bit earlier on than you.

It feels wrong to give to contemporaries who haven't cracked it, so I'm thinking either people with v little ones or one of the toddler groups which provides nappies. Happy to be in this position, and yes, didn't manage to spend over 100 to get my points!
