Not sure we're getting very far with Potty Training

Last week we decided to start Potty Training DD2 (2.7) at first it was a nightmare but we expected that. We've gone down the, nothing on from the waist down approach.
From the 2nd day she started to tell us she needed a wee and went on the potty.
Now, we're on day 7 and if she isnt wearing anything from the waist down she'll do all her wees and poos on the potty but the moment she has any kind of clothing on she'll wee.
I dont know what to do. She's still in nappies if we go out for more than 5 mins but while we're home she basically has to be naked to remember to go on the potty.
DD1 was so easy and I'm feeling a bit lost now.

Any advice or help will be much appreciated.

Oh misery, I am sorry I do not have any advice, I have been dreading potty training, but wanted to lend you some support (and disinfectant). this sort will have bumped you into active convos so I am sure someone will be along soon with good advice.

Misery does she still wee with just knickers on? Sorry, can't help, just starting with my 2.7 yr old but she is right at the start..... Oh joy!

Does she wear dresses? At this time of year it doesn't matter too much if they don't wear knickers/tights/leggings (assuming the snow doesn't come!). Maybe when you are in the garden etc try putting knickers on at least that way she gets used to the sensation without as much mess.

I share your pain though, ds is likewise fine when naked, and prefers to be like that. Have had 3 accidents today, but about 15 successful trips. My Dd2 was v easy too, trying not to compare, but by this stage (2.5days) she was dry day and night. Hoping to beat dd1 record though of 4 months until dry in day and a further year until dry at night.
