I started Potty training DD (2.5) on Saturday. So far we have had just one wee in the potty and half a poo (other half was already in her pants). Have been putting her on the potty very regularly but now it appears that she finds the potty distressing. She will not now entertain the idea of the potty for poos.
This morning when she needed to go for her morning poo she asked for the changing mat and when I tried to encourage her to sit on the potty, she had a tantrum:( I don't want to push it and give her issues, is she just not ready?

I thought weaning was hard!! I think this is our biggest challenge yet.
Ps. I have tried reward charts and poos win prizes to no avail!!

Can you try one of those seats that goes over the big person toilet instead - with a little step so she can get up herself and feel all grown up?

Ok so the potty is a no go....I should invest in a trainer seat for the loo then? Or what about one of those all-singing, all dancing potty things that look like a mini loo? Gimmick?
