2.3 year old refuses to wee?

Hi all
My 2.3 year old DS was slowly easing his way towards potty training and while we didn't achieve a poo on the toilet he would wee there after nappy changes and would ask through the day, especially if I went
I was just thinking to take the plunge and start training him in earnest when he started refusing to wee on the toilet at all. He sits for a couple of minutes and then says "mummy I can't" and "done"
Any idea on how to restart him?
Thanks :)

Hello Huffpot,
We are in exactly the same position with my 2.3 year old DS too!! I thought we were doing brilliantly too (same stage as you) and I was aiming to start training in earnest in proper pants over the Christmas holidays when I have 2 weeks off work and we don't do very much. However, over the last week, he has completely lost interest - both at nursery and at home - to the extent that I have put the potty away and will get it out again in a few months. He has certainly not missed it or asked to go on it!!! Having started off very successfully (wees, not poos), he got to the stage where he would have to be cajoled to sit on it and after a few seconds would jump up and say "nothing coming"!!!....
Sorry I can't help you - but it would be nice if someone out there could help us both!!! I am guessing that 2.3yrs for a boy is still fairly young on the potty-training scale??

Hi hjm72
SO glad it's not just us! We hadn't achieved a poo yet either
I know it may be young for a boy but was hoping that we could say bye bye to the nappies!

Maybe it's a case of just waitingsighSad
