Is your child ready for potty training at nursery? Here's the place for all your toilet training questions.

When can I declare victory? How many dry days/weeks?

DD has now been dry and accident-free for a few weeks...do I get to put away the books and pop open the champagne now? She is still in nappies at night but has some dry nights.

But seriously...

Just to give some encouragement to those in potty training hell at the moment, we started down this path a full 12 months ago. She had many dry days at nursery but didn't quite click in other environments. Tried stickers and smarties as rewards, didn't work.

We encountered a major setback due to negative reactions to accidents from others and when I got pregnant with DC2, DD decided she didn't want to be a big girl and regressed.

But now at 3.2 she has clicked, quite suddenly. She is proud to be a big girl, she has forsaken potties and trainer seats and gone straight to using adult toilets!

So, there is hope!
