Out & about while potty training

DD1 (2.10) has been potty training for a couple of weeks, & I wondered what you were all doing about going out?

At the moment we're not going anywhere without our travel potty, which is fine for now, but I don't want to have to carry it around for months! Can your DC use a normal loo without a trainer seat on it? If so, how?! We've only tried once & she didn't like it at all - I guess I need to try again, but am wondering how to approach it!

Mine refused to sit on a normal loo without a trainer seat at first but managed yesterday. I have since been given a folding trainer seat and I am going to try that as well.

A folding training seat? Well I've never seen one of those before but just looked on amazon & they have a few - I was going to get another training seat for the downstairs loo so I might get one of those! - thanks!

just go to the toilet before leaving the house and go at intervalls in between.

mousy go where though? This last week we've been to the swimming pool & the zoo which is what made me wonder! I don't mind carrying the potty round with me for now, but I don't want to be doing it for months!

I think seniors folding raining seat must be the way forward! (until DD1 grows a big enough bottom to sit on a normal loo unaided!
