I'm potty training DS at the moment, and he seems to much prefer standing up to do his wees. I suppose it's 'to be like daddy' and he's not keen on sitting on the toilet seat, and refuses point blank to use a potty.
Being summer, we spend a lot of the time out of the house and inevitably end up using numerous public toilets in various states of cleanliness. With no step-stools available, and me being heavily pregnant and unable to lift him for the duration of his urination session, we have encountered a small problem. DS is only just tall enough to be able to wee into an adult sized toilet, and ends up with his testicles resting on the rim of the toilet bowl. I always wipe it with tissue first, but somehow it doesn't seem hygienic - after all, sitting on a toilet only involves the seat touching the back of your legs and sides of your bum cheeks, not genitals.
I don't want him to get an infection, but I'd feel a bit ocd carrying antibacterial spray around with us. Has anybody got any bright ideas of ways to avoid this?
