Moving up to the big toilet

Help! DD is 2 years and 8 months and has been potty trained for a couple of months. Now I'm trying to get her to use the big toilet but she yells the place down when I sit her on it and insists on using the potty. I've even splashed out on a Peppa Pig trainer seat but she won't even entertain that! Should I hide the potty so she has no choice but to use the toilet or will that set her back months? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would stick with the potty for now and try again with the loo a bit later but then I'm no expert. I'm just starting potty training and my dd is also 2 years 8 months. You are doing well!

Thanks! I think my dd has a 6th sense....the day after I posted the above, dd suddenly started asking to use the 'big toilet' and has been using it with no problems ever since! Wish I'd posted it weeks ago.....
