Just started trying to move DD (2.2) out of nappies, largely at encouragement of childminder and wanting to take opportunity of good weather and quick drying-off times.
DD very interested in going on the toilet (not keen on potty) and enjoys sitting there. However, seems to be holding wee and reluctant to actually do it on the loo. She did her first wee in front of me today and seemed quite distressed, started crying. I gave her a cheer etc and blew some bubbles for her as a reward, and she cheered up again. Childminder had mentioned some tears during the week, but said she was 'playing up' as she now knows what she's doing re using toilet. I'm unsure. But wondered if anyone had experienced this? Not sure if I should just persevere now and try to teach DD that wees aren't scary or just leave it and let her come back to it when she is a bit more ready...
