DS is 2.8 and I've had several goes at getting him out of nappies. He knows what to do and can tell me when he needs to go, if he wants to.

This week though he's been having deliberate "accidents". He ran up and told me excitedly that he'd made a puddle, then a few hours later he weed in a bowl and was very pleased with himself. I just caught him in time before he weed on his baby sister (he told me he was about to do it). He also enjoys the drama of me clearing up the mess.

Has anyone else had this, and solved it??

Make him clean up the mess. That will soon stop him.
I am a nursery nurse and have had the odd child who will wet themselves deliberately because the want to wear the Peppa Pig knickers in their bag or the blue trousers etc.
I deal with it by making them get themselves changed and cleaning up any mess (obviously they do wash their hands and I clean up thoroughly after them)
The novelty soon wears off.

Good idea Purepurple, I'll give that a go. Thanks
