A friend has recommended the Gina Ford book, but before I buy it I was wondering if there are any others I should have a look at?

Also, any good books for DD1 that might help?

My DD's CM potty-trained her and now at 2.11 she's fully toilet-trained too. But I bought her this book which she found hilarious - she totally got it:
www.amazon.co.uk/Potty-Leslie-Patricelli/dp/0763644765/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_2

She also adored this book:
www.amazon.co.uk/Potty-Leslie-Patricelli/dp/0763644765/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_2

I read both books with her every day, leaving potty in her full view but put no pressure on her; her CM did this too so there was consistency. After a month she got it, but in her case what was most effective was seeing the other 2 year olds at the CM's using the potty - good old peer pressure!

We've got this that my little boy likes. Will do the girls version im sure. Quite a few good books on Amazon.

We used the Gina Ford one, it's very small, there's not much in it!

DD was potty trained within a week though and still very good. She was 2.6 when we did it.

DD1 likes "princess polly's potty", but we've been reading it for ages & she's still in nappies!

We have 'the potty book for boys' (Amazon) and 'Ruby's potty'. DS1 enjoyed both but the former was probably more helpful.
