She was three at the beginning of may and is showing absolutely no interest in potty training whatsoever. I tried last year and she was haing none of it at all. It's the same now. She has lots of nappy free time and the potty or toilet is always available.

She insists that she wants a nappy on to wee or poo in.

She's due to start at nursery in September, five mornings a week and i'm concerned she won't be dry by then.

Help?

Do you have any fun potty books for her like Lulu's Loo or Leslie Patricelli's Potty (which my DD found hilarious)? Does she have any friends same age who are potty trained that she can learn from (peer pressure also worked for my DD)?

I wanted to reassure you that she will get there but not necessarily by the time she starts nursery. My daughter was really terrified of letting go on the potty and held on for 5 or 6 hours. She finally got toilet-trained by the nursery staff at around 3 1/2 or 4 yrs and very shortly afterwards decided she wanted to stop wearing night time nappies too (despite having a very full nappy every morning). Good luck!
