He's fine... Til the pants go on.

OK, DS is 3.4years old. Now, I was slightly delayed in starting to potty train him, due to the fact a) a previous attempt had been unsuccessful, and his childminder had said she really didn't think he was ready and b) I have an hour long commute each morning, with him in tow, so was waiting til his bladder control was better.

Anyway. For about four weeks now, he's been fine when either prompted, or if he has no pants or trousers on. In fact, we seem to have a 99% success rate when he's pant-less, even without prompting. However, as soon as the pants go on, he seems to forget about the potty. Any hints on how to counteract this? Please?

I had this problem. Try him in boxer shorts, they feel less like a nappy.

Oh god, I have this problem too! So frustrating! Will try boxers, please let me know how you get on!

Don't seem to be having much luck in boxers, or even when I try the go commando trick. Nothing. If he's in pants, he'll say nothing. Yet the moment I put him to bed, as soon as he needs a wee, he'll call me to say so... Eh, what's going on there?
