When do you take the night nappy away?

DD is almost 3 and has been potty training for about 3 months. It's only this last month that she rarely has accidents, before that accidents (especially poos) were fairly frequent. She still always wants someone to take her to the toilet and wont just go herself and wont wipe herself, pull her own pants back up. She could if she wanted to I'm sure but always wants me to do it.

She wears a pull up at night time and usually in the morning it's wet - not soaking. I'm wondering what the right time is to take away the nappy at night. I dont want to do this too soon and I feel like she still has a bit more to learn to be able to go herself. She usually sleeps right through the night too - if she has pants on, would she need to get up for a wee during the night?

Thanks, what do other people do?

I got rid of the night nappy the evening I discovered we'd run out of nappies!!!

He was fine, went through with no wees and has only wet once since in about a year.

However wouldn't recommend it as a way of getting a restful nights sleep...

i waited until dd went a few night without weeing in her nappy. i would rather chuck a wet nappy in the bin than wash sheets everyday. it talked to dd about trying not to wee in teh nappy for a few weeks before she got it. she was about 3 1/2
