Poo-strike...?!

Posted a thread on here last Thursday which was day one of potty-training DS2. Day one hard work. Days since have definitely been progressively better each day Smile with the only exception being that DS2 hardly pooed at all on day 1, pooed massively (in pants x 3) on day 2 and since Friday has not pooed at all. How common are 'poo-strikes' when you start off potty-training...??! At what point should you start to worry? How can you encourage a 'poo-striker' to perform on the potty or loo?? And will he be doing awful damage to himself...??! He was a twice a day poo-er until this Shock - bless him!

hiya, i had similar problems with my 2 boys.
my eldest took about 4 months to poo on the toilet (he would hide and do it in his pants) until he watched one of his friends going on the loo. my second has child has been far more complicated and seemed to have a fear of going on the toilet. i tried everything but nothing worked and when i would sit him on it he would just hold his poo in. this went one for ages and (to cut a long story short) he ended up being impacted! my battle has gone on for 18 months with him and we are finally getting there with him after being on lots of laxatives. he is now nearly 4!! try not to make a big deal out of it. reward charts work well.
