He's showed an interest. Used the potty a few times... did a couple of days in big boy pants and then fell out with the potty. So no big deal, back to nappies, try again when he's ready.

He's been asking alot to use the toliet, won't go near the potty, doesn't like the toddler seat on the toliet, and reluctant to sit on the toilet. He wants to be like his big brother and Dad (we have an open door policy in this house, no one gets privacy in the bathroom Grin) and stand up - he's tried, although nothing happened.

Is it ok for him to start out like this?! If not, how do I coax him onto the toilet?!

I don't see why not, although it could be messy! Get a couple of the mats to go under the toilet and wash them every day, maybe?

I'm used to mess. I live with DH a 5 year old. Grin

Hoping he will realise he needs to sit down for a number 2 though...
