How often does your toddler wee?

Just started potty training ds who is 2.7.

We have naturally had a few accidents, but I am finding that whilst I am cleaning up one accident, he may have done another wee, sometimes two.

I am ending up having to put him in a pull-up while I clean up.

Anyway, I was just wondering if this is a normal amount of urine output for a child of this, or will he start to learn to "hold on" as time goes by?

I don't want to keep him in nappies as he is starting pre-school soon and they have told me that they "don't do nappies".

DD1 used to do a bit of wee, and then do a fair bit more if you immediately put her on the potty. If you don't already do that it would be worth trying.

I also used to reward dd1 if she kept her pull-ups dry until we got home, but if you can get away with it don't use them at all.

She did wee less and less as time went by (she is just 3 now)
