Ok, bit of background. Ds is 2.3, dd is 3mths sober have been delaying potty training as he did not seem that keen to start that early, so nursery an I decided to wait.

The last 3 nights he has purposefully wet the bed. This morning he woke at 5, I went in, said good morning, saw him Clutching himself so offered the potty (no! And headshake) so I changed his nappy and went back to bed. 10 mins later he was talking (Pappa, dirty) and I went in to find him sat in a big wet patch. I've seen him drop his nappy before to pee.(it must be pretty interesting to a 2yo!)

So he needs potty training, but he doesn't tell me if he has pood and says he hasn't when he has, he won't sit on the potty and generally it's going to be a nightmare with him and dd

He is stroppy and strongwilled and I don't know where to start (or why he has started wetting the bed like this)

Any advice would be most gratefully received as I am so sleep deprived with dd at the moment I can't think
straight :)

How do I start this positively for him? I guess wig string to get him to sit on the potty (which ge will only do clothed )

I'd stop trying to get him trained at the moment. He knows you are tired and stressed, he is probably still jealous about the baby, and is attention seeking. Wait until he is 2.6yo. You'd be amazed how much they pick up on your moods and if you're stressed, so you won't make any progress with training as it will become a battle of wills.

Blush just how many typos/autocorrect errors are there in my op!! Should not post whilst bfing and shattered.

I have been delaying starting as he was not yet 2 when dd was born. I guess you are right about delaying further. I haven't really started, more like encouraging him to sit on it before bathing.

You are right though, I am anxious about it as he is so strong willed and hot headed Im concerned it will be quite a fight.

As I said in my op I need to be more positive about it all!!
