Ok so, Lily was toilet trained, but would still put a nappy on to poo in. She is 4 in March.

She had major bladder surgery 8 weeks ago, see my other thread about that....

I have let her go back to nappies for wees, as after surgery she had catheter in for 10 days, and I didnt want her holding in wee.

Went back to consultant this week, and he said its now fine to toilet train her again.

Que huge meltdowns! That I have only just this minute twigged its the wearing of pants! I thought it was nursery, as she went back the same day as meltdowns started! But today she has worn nappies and is very happy.

What do I do? Is it worth pushing it?

I feel like putting it all off now for a few months, till she is emotionally ready. She does have bladder control....help!

I've got no experience of the surgery aspect, but have potty trained three dds (not got there with ds yet!). If it were me I'd put her back in nappies / pull ups for a bit. It's not worth causing huge stress over.

I'd wait a couple of weeks and then have a tidy up in her wardrobe and get rid of the smallest pairs of knickers. Then go shopping for replacements and let her chose the Peppa Pig / Fifi / Dora / frilliest pinkest knickers on the understanding that when she starts wearing pants again she needs new ones. Put them in her room and let her get herself dressed / chose her own clothes for a bit and see if she chooses to wear them.

Good luck :)

Thanks for replying, I shall do the "make it all special" again with new knickers in a few weeks or so xx
