Ugh. DD (2.5) has been using the toilet successfully for the past month. Often by prompting from me or DP, but also at her own request.

However, today she's been bored and playing up. She's wet herself three times.

Do you think this is an "I'm bored" thing, or could there be an issue? When we ask her why she's doing it, she just clams up, or talks over us.

Thanks.

She could be coming down with something. My DS often has accidents (and plays up) when he's ill with something even totally unrelated - last time it was an ear infection. I would back off a bit anyway - don't ask her why, just do the usual oh dear next time in the toilet etc.

She could be getting ill. Or she could just wonder what will happen if she wets herself.

I wouldn't ask her why she is doing it, give her as little attention as possible and just clear her up.
