Potty training & waking pre-dawn!

Hi

Our 2.5 year old has done really well with potty training and is almost dry at night.

The downside of this is that she's waking for a wee at 4.30am every morning without fail, wide awake, ready to get up, hungry for a drink of milk and going back to sleep is not an option (believe me we've tried).

Is this a phase that is common? At the moment we're trying giving her a small drink of milk 1 hour before bedtime and then keeping her up a bit later than we used to and making sure she wees before she goes to sleep. Her childminder has suggested we try and keep her in her bedroom and back to bed and get through the tants.

Any advice is appreciated, this is our first child and we are desparate for sleep!

Going to bed now but will check back tomorrow,

Jen
