So many of the comments here seem to be from people who stay at home with their kids. What do you do if that's not you? our ds turned 3 2 wks ago and we think he is ready to train. But my DH & I are both out of the house/working at home 5 days a week. The 'take at least 2 weeks out & don't go anywhere' approach is not an option. DS goes CM 3 days a week then nanny at home other 2 days. Anyone else in this situation? Wd esp like to hear from people who work and have succeeded in training. THANKS

We both work ft. With DD we started when nursery suggested it (I didn't think she was ready) - one weekend, so she had a couple of days at home and then went to nursery and they carried on there. They were quite happy to do this and it all went fine. (I was wrong and she was ready!)

With DS I can't remember as it was too long ago. Would have been similar though.

TBH if you are paying someone to look after a toddler at some point they are going to become involved in their potty training, it goes with the job.
