Sharing potty's? Plus random questions....

Hi,
My DD has used the potty for the first time today at nursery!!!
I'm a little gutted that I missed it, as it's the first 'first' I've missed - oh well, I had to work! :o(

So now I'm really starting to think about potty training.

My question is though about when we're out and about.

Do people really carry around potty's firstly?

Secondly, I'm friends with a few other local mums, who have little ones the same age, so will all be potty training soon enough.

I'm dreading the question - can 'x' use your potty please? What do I say? I don't really want other kiddies using my DD's potty - am I being silly?

I think I'll ask to use their bathroom if I'm at theirs, and hope DD can use the toilet instead of a potty - can you get portable toilet seats?

Cleaning the potty - so this might seem like a silly question, but how do you clean your potties? Is a wet wipe sufficient? Do you disinfect every time?

Oh so much to think about.....

I never carried around a potty but lots do.

Have DTs so not precious about who's wee is in the potty.

To clean for a wee, chuck down the loo and rinse when it flushes. For a poo as for wee but with anti bac wipe for good measure.

I bought one of those travel potty things at great expense. Carried it with me once and never used it. It's somewhere in the boot of the car now. Bleedin' waste of money

DD never used it that is, I was never intending to! :o

No never carried a potty around. Other DCs used DS's potty. Why would I not let I let other people use my toilet.

I obviously let other people use my toilet.
I clean my toilet.

I guess I'm just wondering if they would clean the potty, or just wipe it - I suppose I can clean it again anyway before my DD uses it.
Maybe I'm just being silly! I guess I'll let them use it if they ask, and I'll clean it when they've gone!!

I think i might by a 'cushie traveler' - just found them on ebay - anyone used one of these?
