What about nap time?

Have just got my 2.8 year old DS to use the potty today after a very long build up to the whole thing - he doesn't like wearing pants, wouldn't sit on the potty at all etc, but we seem to have moved past that and today is the first day he's used it every time he needs to pee (and he also did a poo in it, which was a surprise!)

My question is, what do I do about naptime? He still sleeps for 1 - 1.5 hours each afternoon. Is the only option to pop a nappy on and take it off when he wakes?

I used to put a pull up on for nap times until I was sure they would stay dry for it

Hiya, im potty training my ds today too. He is 2.6, and wasnt too keen on the idea but seems to be quite chuffed with his 'super pants' now.

I have put him down for a nap in a pull up nappy, also put pyjamas on him to make it clear it was a sleep thing. wasnt too tricky as i have had heating on and him in pants no trousers today.

I always put dd down for naps in a nappy, it was a break for me allowing me to catch up on any pants washing without worrying about sheets and allowed a good sleep as if she had wet herself and then woken she would have gotten grumpy just making the afternoon training trickier.

So i'm sticking to that for ds
Good luck!

I've found they don't pee during sleep, even my 13 month old. As long as you put them straight on the potty on waking. When I was training my DD I used to put her down for naps on a fleece blanket over a towel, but I don't think it ever got weed on!
