I suppose this is one of those things that vary a lot, but I've just started potty training DS, 2.6, and now on day 5 he seems to be holding his wee well, and is reasonably happy to use the potty or toilet when reminded/asked, but isn't yet telling me he needs the potty (or just taking himself there). Anyway, I'm trying now to just remind him that the potty is there if he needs it. But as hours go by and there is no wee, I start getting a bit anxious.
After the very first day, where he had 5 accidents before his afternoon nap, he now seems to only 'go' three times a day - 1 immediately after waking, 2 sometime after lunch (or during), 3 before bath.
He's drinking like he normally does, with each meal and with a cup of water freely available while he's playing and milk with snacks. And the wee doesn't smell strong etc.
So is this normal? Or do you think it's just normal for him? I find this very odd, because I seem to need to pee more than he does! Blush

My 2 are both different. Dd drinks very little and therefore hardly pees and ds drinks loads and therefore seems to need the toilet every 5 minutes!!

yes, I think DS drinks a normal amount but it's really just sips out of his cup through the day and quite small cups with meals.
Whereas I am downing whole cups of tea & coffee through the day Smile
