DO I GO BACK?

DS is 2.2 and was diagnosed with psoriasis on his poor little red bum so we trained him a little early (although not by my folks standards!) Anyway, he 'got it' over a couple of weeks and we had many dry days out with potty stops. He managed to get mumps about 6 weeks ago and for the last month or so he's reverted to peeing and pooing in the big boy pants and I'm running round after him whenever we're out!
Some say go back to nappies, others say persevere. My gut instinct is not to undermine all his efforts but I'm cleaning up a lot and can't relax when we go out. What does anyone suggest?

oh he's still really young - i'd go back to nappies.

Looks like a blow torch has burned his bum when I put him in nappies and he sometimes screams for days before it calms down. I know he's young but he CAN do it, and did for over a month!
