Should I put her in a pull up for a flight?

My eldest is 3 years 2 months has been potty trained for 5 months but still has the odd accident at home.
She hates going in strange toilets she never tells me she needs to go when we?re out I just take her (sometimes shouting I don?t need a wee) and she?ll go. She can hold it for ages but sometimes she just goes in her pants.
We?re taking a 4hr flight next week and I also have a very clingy baby so I?m wondering if for ease I should put her in a pull up? I really think she?d freak out seeing the toilet in the plane, they are quite noisy. Do you think it would be too confusing?

Can't advise on if it'd be too confusing but don't forget that you aren't always allowed to go to toilets (take off and landing) plus it's not always easy to access the toilets if the drinks/food are being served....

But I'll let someone else with more knowledge on potty training give you better advice!

I would go nappy free but with a change of clothes

She will almost certainly be fine, you can give the baby to a flight attendant to hold as necessary, and worst case scenario, how many accidents can she have in 4 hours

I took dd on a variety of planes trains and automobiles this summer, at times up to 8 hour journeys and it was fine

I should have more faith in her! She's never had an accident on her way to the toliet once she's told me she needs to go she tends to hold it quite well. I think I'll take her just before we board and pray!

Why dont you take a travel potty with you? will she use it? that way no scary toilets - or her toilet seat?

I remember wetting myself on a flight to France at age 5. The seatbelt signs were on because of mild turbulence so I couldn't use the toilet. Having said that I guess I didn't go before boarding otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't have had an accident.

If it was me I would be tempted to use a pull up, but then I am sometimes guilty of cutting corners for an easy life!

I don't actually think it would be that confusing because it's a one off thing. My dd still goes in pull ups at night and when she goes in the swimming pool, so I think a journey like this would be viewed in a similar manner.

My dd is a bit younger and only pt for a few weeks but I tend to think I would use a pull up if we were flying next week to save myself the extra stress of worrying about it.

We're going on a long car journey soon and I won't bother because we've a good chance of stopping in time for a wee, but flying is a different ball game.
