Hi folks hope you can help..

Dd took a horrendously long 4 months to potty train. Just as I was losing the will to live, I threatened to put her in baby nappies and voilà the problem was sorted. She was completely trained.

6 weeks on, the day came to take her out of daycare as I'm starting maternity leave and she's starting pre-school nursery. From the day (last Friday) she left her daycare and even though she's doing great at the new nursey and talks excitedly about the new baby coming, she has been doing all poos in her pants.

I'm aware the timing is not an accident and that it is a form of regression related to current and upcoming changes but the question is how do u deal with it? I tried ignoring accidents and rewarding good behaviour for FOUR months and it never worked. When I asked today did she want a baby nappy she said yes so that threat won't work.

Is it wrong to consider time out since I know she can go to the toilet if she wants? All advice gratefully received sorry for the long post ./

Can't really offer advice but this is quite normal I think. DS has been clean since last Christmas but still not quite dry. DD is almost 6 weeks old and since she was born we've had 3 episodes of pooing in his pants (thankfully 2 times he was wearing pull ups and the other time I managed to get him on the pottycas I saw him starting to strain.) Think it was an attempt to get my attention.
Try not to get too stressed about it x
